Joe Jordan

Joe Jordan is an accomplished Soul & R&B singer who displays an astonishing range of emotion and style, which reflects the true essence of performance. With a diverse background in theater, Mr. Jordan has a mature song craft that stems from the influences of a diverse group of musical sources such as: Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, Frankie Beverly, and Nat King Cole, to name a few. His two solo projects “Can you find your soul” and “Let’s go to that place” has earned him several Wisconsin Area Music Award nominations, including Best Male Vocalist and R&B/Soul Artist.
This is Mr. Jordan’s thirteenth season as Lead vocalists for Streetlife, the House Band for the Milwaukee Bucks NBA Team, for which he has two CD projects with: “Live at the Red Mill” and “Live at Jazz in the Park”.
Mr. Jordan & his band, SoulTrio, are currently working on three new projects due out Summer 2011: “Body of Soul”,the follow up to his début CD “Can You Find Your Soul”, “The Jazzy Soul Experience CD of The American Standard Songbook”, and “The Crooner” with Christopher’s Project.
Mr. Jordan also has been a part of R&B Live, a national-based R&B show held every third Sunday each month in the third ward. It features the top R&B singers in the Milwaukee area.
Mr. Jordan’s recent accomplishments include shows with Bernie Worrell of “Parliament/Funkadelic”, Louis Johnson of The Brothers Johnson, Bill Dickens Big Jamm Session, back-up vocals for Paul Cebar and Tomorrow’s Sound New CD, and singing back-up vocals for American Idol Danny Gokey. He also opened for several artists including Anthony Hamilton, David Sanborn, Angie Stone, Elvis Costello and Tower of Power, to name a few. Joe performed at three Tributes over the past year. A Tribute to Teddy Pendergrass, Marvin Gaye, and Donny Hathaway.
