Widely-respected drummer Tony Wagner founded Streetlife in 1984. While a student at the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, he received many awards, including Outstanding Drummer at the Midwest Jazz Festival, where he was chosen to perform with Jazz greats Cannonball Adderley, Lyle Mayes, and Rufus Reid. Tony is the former owner of Tony's Drum Shops in Appleton and Green Bay, Wisconsin, which was recognized as a Wisconsin Pro Drum Center and became known for its outstanding percussion education program.
Tony has toured the US and Europe with Jazz singer Janet Planet, with whom he also recorded, and the award-winning Jazz group Matrix, which he co-founded. He has opened for numerous national and international artists, such as The Yellow Jackets, Tower of Power, Weather Report, and Maynard Ferguson.
Tony is endorsed by Pearl drums and Zildjian cymbals.
