Peter Mac began playing guitar at fourteen and has spent the last twenty-five years developing his craft. A student at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music from 1978-1981, he spent the next two years traveling the US in funk and Jazz-fusion acts. He later formed The Converters, an all-original trio that was popular on college campuses throughout the Midwest. Following that, he recorded his first solo album, Pardon My Monster, and a second solo album that was contracted to record twelve spots for MTV sports commercials. Just before joining Streetlife, he played in his own band, the Peter Mac Trio. While with Streetlife, he released his third solo effort, 3 Faces, a triple dose of guitar stylings, on which he also played all bass and keyboard tracks. Peter is presently at work on his fourth solo project.

An established studio musician and solo artist, Peter has opened for a wide variety of renowned national and international artists, including Kenny Loggins, Dave Koz, Tower of Power, Danny Gatton, Grover Washington, Jr., Jeff Healey, Eddie Money, Kansas, Doc Severinsen, Tim Wiesburg, The O'Jays, and Al Jarreau. He has recorded commercials for Boston Store department store, Kimberly Clark, Midwest Express Airlines, Yamaha Jet Skis, and more than one hundred fifty logos for radio stations throughout the US through Joe Kelly, Inc. Peter teaches over sixty guitar students per week at the Waukesha Conservatory of Music.

Peter is endorsed by Höfner Guitars.
