A singer/songwriter/producer with an astonishing range of emotions and musical styles, Joe Jordan is a true performer. His artful stage performance and mature songcraft draw on his background in theater and music and his wide range of musical influences, such as Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, Nat King Cole, James Brown, George Clinton, and Prince. For each of the last three years, Joe has been nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year by the Wisconsin Area Music Industry Awards (WAMI).
Before joining Streetlife, Joe was the lead vocalist for a variety of local acts, including Chameleon, Christopher's Project, and Capitol Drive. He has written, recorded, and sung on numerous radio commercials and has sung lead and background on several album projects. His debut solo effort, Can u find Soul, is scheduled for release in summer 2000 on the B-AsWan label. Joe has donated his time and talent to numerous elementary school programs to help at-risk children strive to be their best.
